Cardiac Camp Mentorship Program

The Cardiac Camp Mentorship Program supports students beyond the summer experience by continuing mentorship throughout the school year.

Students who previously participated in Cardiac Camp are paired with a UCSF medical student mentor and meet once per month for ongoing guidance and professional development.

What Mentorship Includes

Through individualized mentorship, students receive support in areas such as:

  • Resume and CV review

  • Career exploration within medicine and cardiology

  • Interview preparation

  • Academic goal setting

  • Navigating pathways to medical and health professions

Each mentoring relationship is designed to provide consistent encouragement, accountability, and exposure to opportunities within healthcare.

Quarterly Enrichment Events

In addition to monthly mentorship meetings, students are invited to participate in quarterly events, which may include:

  • Workshops on topics of interest

  • Networking opportunities with cardiology and healthcare professionals

  • Panels featuring medical students and physicians

  • In-person events hosted on the UCSF campus

These events help students expand their professional networks and deepen their understanding of careers in medicine.

Our Commitment to the Next Generation

Many medical students attribute their own success to strong mentorship along the way. At Cardiac Camp, we are committed to paying that forward — guiding, supporting, and inspiring the next generation of health professionals.

We believe mentorship does not end when camp ends — it continues as students grow toward their future in medicine.
